WINTER FILM AWARDS (WFA) is a volunteer-run andoperated celebration of the diversity of local andinternational filmmaking.
There are hundreds of filmfestivals in NYC; whatmakes WFA different isour intense focus on thevariety of our films andhelping new filmmakersreach what may be theirfirst real audience.
WINTER FILM AWARDS mission is to recognize excellence incinema and to promote learning and artistic expression forpeople at all stages of their artistic careers with a focus onnurturing emerging filmmakers and helping them gainrecognition and contacts to break into this difficult industry.
Our annual festival offers something for everyone, highlightingthe dynamic range of talent and storytelling capabilities that theindependent filmmaking community has to offer.
