Each weekly meeting is structured differently.
For instance, some meetings are speaker meetings where business individuals will come discuss their insight and answer questions.
Some meetings are weekly workshops where we set up our LinkedIn profiles, help construct our resumes, etc.
Overall the American Marketing Association helps students learn how to market themselves and builds business connections that will be useful later.
If you are interested, we will have several meetings throughout the year and would love your support.
A sponsor should support our event because we can:
- Promote the other party’s brand around Texas State University and AMA
-Place the logo on AMA newsletters
-Hand out flyers at AMA events
-Hand out coupons at events
-Give the company a “shout out” at meetings and on social media\
Not to mention, by donating food or money to buy food at your company, you are fueling the minds of young individuals who will hold you in high regard and have a better meeting (all thanks to you).
My name is Claire Heleniak. I'm the Director of Operations at Texas State University in the American Marketing Association (AMA).
The Director of Operations has the following duties:
- Create a survey and send out to the members group chat to see what foods people will like for meetings! (Example, pizza, sandwiches, tacos, etc)
- Contact vendors(restaurants, food chains) now and see who would be interested, pitch the benefit of advertising to them(we will promote their brand to our members)
- Inventory supplies that we have and plan for purchases for the whole year, we want to buy in bulk for cost efficiency but do not let it expire or go unused.
- Complete the off campus solicitation form for Student Involvement
I can even send you my resume if you'd like or you can find me on LinkedIn under Claire Heleniak.
