About the event

SOM is going to bring awareness to the graduating high school class of 2020 about the importance of education through HBCU’s. SOM Talk Live will bring local high school students to HBCU’s to tour campuses and gain knowledge from college reps on specific curriculums and amenities provided by college(s). In addition, SOM Talk Live would like to close out tour with entertainment from musical talent, and invite college students currently enrolled and attending and high school students to event. Live entertainment will include speakers, performers, & an interactive discussion with high school and college students.

Goal:

To ensure students understand the importance of an HBCU and why it should be a first choice when choosing a college and or university.

Outline:

High school students will tour college campus and learn about different programs offered by college/university.

Students will briefly learn about the history of college/university.

Lunch for students & faculty.

Entertainment will include freestyle competition, scholarship giveaway, and live performances!

SOM Talk Live is an Entertainment and Business podcast which focuses on a variety of topics on the iHeart Radio Platform.
