About the event

Society Paws is a fun award show and fundraiser for Yorkie 911 Rescue that searches out and recognizes members of our Dog Community – often ordinary dog, non-dogs and humans who are extraordinary - whether it’s posting on Social Media, attending our many social events or taking pictures or simply providing the tail-wagging hello. There are twelve distinct categories for the Society Paws Awards: Fashion Forward Pup, Twitter Pawsonality, Instagram Pawsonality, Facebook Pawsonality, Rescue Favs, Pawtographer (professional and candid), Photogenic Pup, Pawpular Pup, Challenger Award, Long Distance Nyer and Honorary Pup (the category for non-dogs).  Society Paws will celebrate and give recognition to the winners.

After voting by un biased judges, winners in each category will be announced at the Society Paws Awards gala.  Nominees will walk the red carpet, attend the gala, mingle with family and friends and wait to see who the winner is.

​Founded in 2017, Society Paws exists to help provide for the welfare and well-being of animals.

Why should you sponsor?

This is the first Society Paws Awards being held in NYC.  It is a unique event as the nominees include our 4 legged friends, some humans and some non dogs (a cat, a cicken and a dakota dragon). The Doggie Community is big in NYC and we dress up our pets, hold fashion shows, attend Pup Scouts and just want to help all pets in need.  By supporting this event, you allow us not only to help support Yorkie 911 Rescue, but you also help us to celebrate those who go unnoticed in our community.  This is a fun awards show, that we hope to turn into an event similar to the Emmy's and Oscars.

​working hard to put together the Society Paws Awards.  They came up with the categories and helped with the nominations. 

​All of us here at the Society Paws Awards hope you enjoy what we are trying to do with the doggie community.   It's about having fun, lifting up our peers and promoting responsible pet ownership.
