Short Cut NYC International Cinemafest is an online interactive short film festival starting June 2017 closing with an onsite live festival in Spring 2018 in NYC. Born with the goal to support current creative upcoming, filmmakers using the internet as a connection to the world and break distribution barriers. Reaching a community of film lovers, filmmakers and film followers. At Short Cut audience and judges will be able to evaluate, comment and share about the films, building followers and an online community. Short Cut is a social connection in all its ways, running online for a year and culminating with a live event in NYC.

Melisa Ramos-Founder & Artistic Director
Profile: Melisa Ramos is a local NYC post production professor, producer and filmmaker. She has directed and curate film festivals like 21 Islands Intl Short Film Fest in NYC with an amount of 800 submissions worldwide. Melisa has 10 years of experience in post production and has worked with clients such as Bader TV, ESPN, HITN, Hand Made TV, EContent-TV and also independent features films. Melisa possesses a MFA from MIU and an MA in Advertising from Complutense University of Madrid. Short Cut NYC Intl Cinemafest is a new project that ambitions to feature incoming filmmakers help them and their peers.
David Rodriguez- Founder & Executive Producer
Profile: David Rodriguez is a marketing strategist who started his career as the General Manager of The Fuerte Group. He later formed his own company Clear Picture Entertainment and went on to become an Associate Producer of the 2011 critically acclaimed comedy/play- La Barberia. Produced the musical I LIKE IT LIKE THAT starring Tito Nieves. Rodriguez has extensive experience and a proven track record with record labels, entertainment marketing and artist management and musical theater as well.
Julio W. Sanchez - Associate Artistic Director & Digital Producer
Profile: Julio W. Sanchez is a digital artist with more than 10 years of experience in visual effects, motion graphics, 2d animation, 3d modeling and editing. He has worked as freelance artist for various clients creating content for film, broadcast and media. Also he has worked for advertising agencies in the New York City area and Digital Domain Studios where he specialized as stereoscopic artist.
He likes to combine art, craft and technology to create a product that will be appealing to both the eye and the imagination. His goal when taking a new project is to approach it with passion and enthusiasm and to be committed to deliver a final product that will meet or exceed his client expectation.
