SF New Tech Spotlight on Latina Founders,

DocuSign, San Francisco, California, United States DocuSign, San Francisco, California, United States

  • About the event

#LatinaGeeks and SF New Tech. Here's a little more about what we are doing.

SF New Tech and #LatinaGeeks are partnering to put a spotlight on Latina entreprenuers

SF New Tech (SFNT) is a world-renowned live platform for technology startups to showcase their latest innovations in front of 100s of tech-minded founders, engineers, investors, media, and more. Since 2006, over 800 companies have leveraged SFNT to launch and/or demo their new products, services, and features, including companies like Evernote, Waze, 23andMe, Flipboard, Twilio, Splunk and many others.  As a cornerstone of the San Francisco technology community and as SF’s largest, longest-running, and most-loved technology event, SFNT is laser-focused on putting innovators and their innovations in the spotlight in front of their peers — and beyond.

#LatinaGeeks was created as the first-of-its-kind community to empower and inspire Latina women by spreading the knowledge of entrepreneurship, social media and technology. Their website reviews the latest gadgets, mobile applications, social technology and local tech-startups that women can apply to their daily lives and/or business.

We've seen a lot of focus on women and women of color initiatives, however nothing to date with a focus on Latina entrepreneurs, which we feel is so important to shed light on technology as career options for Latinas and as inspiration to other women of color. The June 28 event will showcase Latina entrepreneurs and founders demo’ing their startups and latest technologies.

    Why should you sponsor?

As SF’s largest, longest-running, and most-loved technology event, SFNT is laser-focused on putting innovators and their innovations in the spotlight in front of their peers — and beyond. Together with #LatinaGeeks we are excited to join forces to shift the paradigm of funding and awareness for Latinas in technology and leverage their respective platforms to shine a light on Latina led businesses. This is the first of many events designed to help Latinas and underserved groups hone their pitches, network with likeminded peers, and create awareness into their companies and business needs. SF New Tech and #LatinaGeeks are dedicated to inspiring women to pursue and excel in technology careers and to helping them become leaders and role models in the tech industry.

Exposure to a vibrant startup community of more than 18,000 SF New Tech members.

Expanded exposure opportunities with #LatinaGeeks and highly influential principal social channels @lalacastro, @sandramp @mylerdude and more..

Alignment with diversity focus and inclusion around underserved groups such as the Hispanic community. Help us bridge the funding gaps that exist for Latino led businesses through raising awareness and giving other up and coming Latina entrepreneurs an inspiration in seeing women like them leading technology startup ventures
