About the event

Series-ly Podcast provides weekly recaps on the drama, the love, the scandals and friendships on black web series with hilarious commentary. On June 23, 2017, Series-ly Podcast will host an anniversary party to celebrate its first successful year and launch the podcast’s website to the public. This event is free to the public and will attract over 100 fans of the podcast, content creators and actors.

Series-ly Podcast

New York City natives Brittany and Mary met in college in 2009 and bonded over their love of television. After coming across Issa Rae’s The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl their interest in web series sparked. As the web series content on YouTube expanded, Brittany and Mary began to have in depth conversations with each other about the characters, plots and storylines of these shows. They both loved how fresh and different the content was from the programming on network television. Fast forward to June 2016, Series-ly Podcast was created. Series-ly Podcast provides weekly recaps on the drama, the love, the scandals, the friendships and all the mess in between on web series with hilarious commentary. Examining each episode with a fine tooth comb, no web series is safe from their questions, comments and concerns.Series-ly Podcast is part of the Indie Creative Network and is published every Thursday on Soundcloud, iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher.
