About the event

The Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that introduces plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools to educate the whole school community about the health, environmental, and social justice issues of our food choices.

Our gala is a friend and fundraiser. It is a food tasting event and it is 100% plant-based deliciousness! 

Our guests and supporters are those interested in health and nutrition, children's well-being, planetary health, and animal well-being. 

Why should you sponsor?

In the United States each year, 7 billion meals are served to children in schools that participate in the USDA school meal program. The regulations are deeply influenced by the food industry and children are being fed fast food type meals as a result. Even when healthy options are offered, there is too much temptation to choose less healthy options. 

We are looking for sponsors who care deeply about children's well-being, the well-being of our planet and want to be kinder to animals.

The New York Coalition for Healthy School lunches (DBA: Coalition for Healthy School Food) has been changing how schools feed kids for the last 16 years. We are in formal partnership with the largest school district in the country, New York City, as well as the Ithaca City School District. We help schools anywhere in the country. What our supporters love most about us is that we are very efficient and they can't believe how much we have been able to accomplish on a modest budget. We welcome your support and your questions!
