We are volunteers for a non-profit organization called 'RockHill Rescue Squad' which operates in Rock Hill SC. WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ROCKHILL RESCUE SQUAD SERVE OUR COMMUNITY PROUDLY AND STRIVE FOR PROFESSIONALISM INREGARD TO SAFETY, LIFE,PROPERTY and do everythingin our capacity to keep the citizens of York county happy and safe. Sadly we haveto plan to start over and move to a new smaller building soon. The current onewe are renting now is starting to really get out of our hand as far as rentgoes. We currently pay about 1000 a month for rent and 1300 for power. With that being said our county (York) no longerfunds our dept. and its hurting us really badly. Our insurance for our truck alone is about5000 because it’s an emergency vehicle. We are looking forward to raising fundsworth $50,000 for the squad. We would be highly obliged, if you could support thecause by providing a generous donation.
We do have members on this rescuesquad that really cares about the job we all do here and would really hate tosee this squad go down and close. I myself have only been a part of this squadfor 2 years and I would not work for any other dept. This squad and it member are a real family tome and we are just like anyone dept. out there. We know that we can do any jobthat is put in front of us and will not back down from and challenge that weare set to do. This squad mean so muchnot only to me but a lot of people here as citizens here in York county. Whenwe go out to get lunch or dinner we see some of the people we have helped inthe past and they do ask why we don’t come back. It hurts to tell them that ourcounty mgmt. took us away from doing the manpower calls because we are missingthe training. That they see it better to tie up an EMS unit to come pick you upoff the floor and hold them from an more higher 911 callers that need theirhelp.
