About the event

On January 15th, 1908 Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded as an organization for collegiate women. It has served the international community for the past 100 years and continues to empower communities through exemplary service initiatives and progressive programs. Lambda Chapter has embodied the spirit of Alpha Kappa Alpha by serving the greater New York Community since April 22, 1922. The members of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated cordially invite you to join us as we host our annual fashion show to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
On January 31st, 2015, Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will be hosting her 7th Annual “A Pink Carpet Affair” Fashion Show to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness. In past years the fashion show brought over 400 people to Columbia University and The City College of New York. It featured students from seven New York City colleges and received public recognition and coverage by AMMO, a leading fashion magazine and blog. The show has also featured several celebrities as hosts as well as models, including Angela Simmons, Kelle Jacobs of Top Model and Tanisha Eanes of All My Children. This year, we are asking for your support to make this event bigger and better. In keeping with Alpha Kappa Alpha’s commitment of being “Supreme in Service to All Mankind,” a portion of the proceeds from this year’s show will be donated to the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to promote breast cancer awareness and research. We hope that you will stand beside us in the effort to raise funds for this worthy cause.
“A Pink Carpet Affair” Fashion Show is one of the biggest productions put on by a student group at The City College of New York. Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha has brought quality speakers to Columbia University’s and City College campuses and features the fashions of talented designers, both up and coming as well as internationally recognized. We are able to accomplish this success only with generous sponsorship from companies such as yours. We believe that this partnership will greatly benefit your involvement in the New York collegiate community. Furthermore, as an international organization of all ages, your sponsorship will reach an audience of diverse ages and backgrounds. Our sponsorship levels are as follows:
Our sponsors at the Pearl Level ($1,500 or a contribution of equal value) are entitled to:
• Logo on print advertisements, posters, recognition in our newsletter, and year-round recognition on our website
• Name recognition in Fashion Show press releases
• Display a banner or advertisement at the show.
• Receive acknowledgement as a "Presenting Sponsor" in our advertising and program
materials.
• A complimentary full page advertisement in the program.
“Supreme In Service To All Mankind”
• Receive recognition from the Chapter President or Fashion Show Host prior to the beginning of the program
• Have five individuals from your organization invited as guests to the event Our sponsors at the Diamond Level ($1,000 or a contribution of equal value) are entitled to:
• Display a banner or advertisement at the show.
• Receive acknowledgement as a "Leading Sponsor" in our advertising and program
materials.
• A complimentary full page advertisement in the program.
• Receive recognition from the Chapter President or Fashion Show Host prior to the
beginning of the program
• Have four individuals from your organization invited as guests to the event
Our sponsors at the Gold Level ($500 or a contribution of equal value) are entitled to:
• Display a banner or advertisement at the show.
• A complimentary half page advertisement in our program.
• Receive acknowledgement in our program materials.
• Have three individuals from your organization invited as guests to the event.
Our sponsors at the Silver Level ($250 or a contribution of equal value) are entitled to:
• Receive acknowledgement in our program materials
• A complimentary quarter page advertisement in our program
• Have two individual from your organization invited as a guest to the event.
