About the event
Calling all young entrepreneurs, amateurs to the game of pitching and anyone who has a tech idea they wish to share, SoTechie Spaces is hosting a pitch night for 1st timers, who have a tech idea they want to share, and try to sell an audience!
Starting off 2015 with a bang, Pitch Night is on Monday, January 26th 6.30-8 pm. The flow of the night is going to adopt a game show style, presenters will have numbers and there will be buzzers for audience members to interject the pitch and ask questions. The audience will be able to rate the pitchers on their; business model, business continuity, stage presence and extensive knowledge of the subject. This will be a great way to engage audience, judges and pitchers. Not only are you gaining valuable experience and pitching techniques, but there are also great prizes to be won!
This is the perfect start to make your idea a reality. All good ideas start with people thinking your crazy and that the idea won’t work so don’t be shy and come join people like you. Come present your business in a manner that’s short, sweet and to the point.
This is going to be the format of the event:
- Welcome everyone to the event
- Intro to the space
- Thank our sponsor for the night
- Introduce the founders,
- Introduce the presenters
- We will take a look back at previous events
- Go through bullet points of the pitching
- We will then go into the material
- Each pitcher will present their tech idea; they will have 3 minutes to explain the idea
- The audience and the Judges will get to do a Q & A after each pitch.
- Finally judges will deliberate and pick a winner
- The prize is a Microsoft Tech Prize!
The event is going to be open to the public and there is no charge for admission. We are using all social media handles to advertise the event; Facebook, LinkedIn, RSS, Tumblir, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube, Google Plus, Email, Pinterest, and Flicker.
