Recently, I came across a petition to establish a National Singles Day. I thought it was great. Every other group seems to be advancing in societal recognition except Singles. We seem to be left behind. Even if an official day is not established in the near future, I think we should still celebrate! Change can only take place with the first step. In addition, right now, you can still sign up for a free membership to LetsBSocial.com. We can discuss and collaborate about this day, and I can keep everyone interested in getting involved, up to date.
Today, being single has so many different meanings. You can be single and never married. You can be single after divorce with no kids. You can be single after divorce with kids. You can be single when your spouse dies with kids or without. You can be a single mother or father with kids and either divorced or never married. You can be self employed and working alone. You can be a solopreneur with an established business or startup of one. So many different kinds of singleness with one common thread: flying solo. Well, you get the idea!
Celebrating this day also shouldn't be only for singles. It should also be for all others who want to support us!
This particular celebration will be taking place in NYC. However, if you would like to learn more about what took place last year in Los Angeles, please visit:

The Los Angeles chapter will be celebrating again this year, of course. After all, they invented it!
Remember, however, that this is only one day. Singles Empowerment is not just about this day. It is a work in progress, and must take place every day! What better way to make this happen than becoming a member of LetsBSocial.com. To join, please visit:

Hope to see you there!
Note: event time is approximate. When we secure the location, we will be able to give a definite time. That should be very soon! If you have any suggestions, please let us know!
