About the event

Mystic River Theater Co. (MRT) is a teen-run non-profit theater company based out of both Massachusetts and New York created as a welcoming space for LGBT teens to explore and enjoy theater. We came together because of our shared love for the musical BE MORE CHILL, which is the show we hope to produce next year. This event is to raise funds to secure the performance rights, venue, and other such expenses to run the show.

Why should you sponsor?

You (as a sponsor) will be supporting local theater as well as supporting the youth and LGBT communities. With us, you'll have access to a young adult/teen fanbase, who are prolific on social media. 

JO Welch

JO WELCH is a director at Mystic River Theater Co. She is the mother of one of MRT's co-founders, JQ WELCH. JQ identifies as non-binary, and is Latinx. They have a passion for musical theater and bringing people together in a welcoming space. 

As a director and "guru", JO's goal is to educate and expose JQ and the producers to the ins and outs of running a business.
