Miss Wheelchair South Africa is an event that will break barriers for woman with disability in South Africa and hopefully influence other African countries to do the same. It will also be a reminder to everyone that, Wheelchair is not a constraint impossible to include, it is just something additional to your personality. Every single woman with disability has a right to be and feel beautiful.

Lebohang Monyatsi studied Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology at the North West University Mafikeng campus.
She is raised by her grandmother. Living with disability on its own is a huge challenge, adding low income household that is depended on grants for survival made the situation even more harder. Lebohang Monyatsi has proven that hard work makes everything possible. She is a living hope for so many people who are living with disability and able people. She challenged the status quo by being Africa’s first runway model on wheelchair this has not been seen in an African continent.
Lebohang Monyatsi was crowned the 1st Princes of the first ever Miss Wheelchair World 2017 held in Poland. She was also a Finalist for Face of the Globe 2017, the one and only Finalist with a disability. She won the 1st prize at the 2nd South African Youth Awards in the category “Extra Ordinary Champions”, she was a shortlisted for the 2018 Global Thinkers Forum Awards as African Female Leader. She has received the 2018 YB20 hounerary Award.
Lebohang is recognised for representing her country, South Africa in the field of Wheelchair Basketball. She has represented South Africa in the following countries:
• 2015: Algeria, Paralympics Qualifiers,
• 2012: Mexico, Paralympics qualifies,
• 2009: Quatamal, in South America, World cup qualifiers
• 2008: Namibia, international friendly games
Above all Lebohnag is passionate about disability inclusion and accessible features for all, she os the Co-founder of the Miss Wheelchair South Africa.
