My name is Ruhan Thomas, and I am the Project Lead for One Ordinary Athlete. The project forms part of uRun, a South African running community, events company, and film studio focused on endurance sport, community, storytelling, and brand-led experiences.
Through uRun, we are building a documentary and digital content project that follows an ordinary South African athlete’s journey toward the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon 2027. My role is to lead the project vision, sponsorships, partnerships, athlete selection process, content direction, and overall coordination between the production team, sponsors, and support partners.
The goal is to create more than an endurance challenge. We are building a story, a media asset, and a brand partnership platform that captures real transformation, discipline, adventure, and the human side of endurance sport.
