  • About the event

    What we're about

A white hat hacker: An ethical computer hacker, computer security specialist who focuses on Penetration Testing and other methodologies to ensure the security of company assets.

What does this mean to you? Lakewood White Hats will focus on sharing our knowledge and achieving greatness in the realm of Cyber Security. Our ultimate goal is to help Companies keep their assets safe and to keep our friends, loved ones, etc, safe on the internet.

Our primary goal is to gather bi-weekly and discuss new hacking techniques, scripts, tactics, and projects/help our peers learn. Eventually, we plan to participate in CTF challenges, create organized classes and events, and be a part of an organization we can be proud of.

If this sounds interesting to you, just join and see what we are all about!

    Why should you sponsor?

You're a sponsor, what does this mean to you?

We are looking for one or two primary sponsors that we can showcase at our meetup events. I decided that I didn't want money, instead, let me explain my reasoning behind this decision.

We are a meet-up group, so I can't exactly guarantee hundreds or thousands of business leads. With that being said, in the niche this meetup is in, it's likely that we will get hundreds of members, so your sponsorship can potentially be beneficial to you.

If it's not money you're after, what do you want?

LWH is looking for sponsors that are down to not only get their name out but watch us succeed and grow as a group. This means your brand has the potential of being displayed at big events like Capture the Flag and hacking challenge events. All we ask for is your support, and when the time comes, if you can send us certain swag to hand out at our events, or offer us discounts, we will call it even. Additionally, we might make team jerseys if we go to hacking events and we would like to display you as our sponsor.
