About the event

We have developed risk management-based presentations for the global mining ecosystem to be given at two important international conventions that provide maximum outreach in the industry, SME Mine Exchange 2027 and the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2027 (One of the largest mining conventions in the world).

The Protect Mining From Terrorism – Working Group (PMFT-WG) is a team of seasoned security practitioners with extensive counterterrorism experience. Our group engages the global mining ecosystem in problem-solving and educates about challenges in regions at heightened risk from terrorism.

Members of our team presented a well-attended session at the PDAC 2024 convention, and a member has attended the two subsequent PDAC conventions for networking and outreach related to the PMFT-WG mission.

At PDAC 2026, a discussion with an SME representative led to an invitation to prepare a presentation for the SME Mine Exchange 2027 convention.
