Vartavious Cureton

Vartavious Cureton is a youth mentor, speaker, basketball coach, and the author of Destroy the Yoke — a bold and deeply personal book that confronts the spiritual, emotional, and generational battles young people face today. Having grown up facing many of the same struggles he’s now helping others overcome — from identity crises and addiction to mental health challenges and generational trauma — Vartavious turned his pain into purpose.

 

Through his platform, Culture Shifters Media, he creates content, events, and mentoring experiences that break cycles and build futures. Whether he’s coaching on the court, speaking in schools, or hosting empowerment events, his mission is simple: to help youth and young adults destroy whatever yokes are holding them back and step into who they were truly created to be.
