About the event
I am extremely pleased to invite you to join me at the 5th Annual Diversity and Inclusion Awards and Leadership Academy in New York City in September 6 -7, 2016! Formerly known as the DANDI Awards & Executive Forum. This will be my 5th year hosting the awards and I am re-branding to create a new movement to catch the world up with the changes facing the world.
This is exciting because with the new brand will come updates to the program, including adding an additional day, and an opening night reception, as well as increasing the number of expert speakers and participants.
One of the most important pieces of this evolution will be to have general sessions and also create focused workshops for participants to take a deeper dive into the topics that are most relevant to each participant’s personal and/or organizational trajectory. This is no longer a just a conference, it is a true diversity leadership institute.
The theme for the Diversity Leadership Institute is “Diversity Visionary: Lead from Where You Are”. The three tracks are workplace, marketplace/ROI and social equity.
The diversity and inclusion awards program is also undergoing an evolution with a new mission “to celebrate and exalt innovative work and sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion!” The Diversity Leadership Academy is just that, an academy of professionals that will advise and guide on the mission and selection process. Additionally, the categories are being streamlined and there will be a new viewers choice option.
