Dance Marathon for Pediatric AIDS,

Hi, my name is Stephanie Goicochea and I am the event organizer for the 2016-2017 Holy Family School Dance Marathon for Pediatric AIDS.  I am a former student of Holy Family.  I graduated in 1999 and I can still remember the FUN I had during our Dance Marathon.  Both my younger sister and brother attended Holy Family and now more recently my younger cousin attends. 

The Dance Marathon was THE EVENT to attend; being apart of the DOER Club was something each 8th grader strived for.  I was a member of the DOER club and had a hand in helping out for the marathon.  We danced for hours and raised money for a cause.  This instilled a very important trait in me that I still carry to this day.  It was with this event that I began to learn that no matter how small you think you are...you can make a difference.  

That is the very reason why I have decided to revive the Dance Marathon.  Since my graduation year, Holy Family hasn't held another one and I feel it is my calling to headline this revival.  My goal is to not only help those children plagued by AIDS but to also show the 6th, 7th and 8th graders of Holy Family that they can all make a difference in the world.
