About the event
My partner and I are currently creating a comedy festival based in New York City, where undiscovered talented comics will be performing in a stand up competition where the winner will be crowned 'Crosstown's Funniest comedian in NYC'. The festival will also include well known comedic acts that have appeared on MTV, Comedy Central, NBC, etc.
We are reaching out to you today for assistance, in aiding us in promoting the festival and additional support you wouldn't only be helping out our cause, but also helping 48 applied comedian, hoping to have their careers and lives changed due to our festival. We have already contacted comedy club owner/ managers and casting directors to help provide us space to hold the festival as well as grant the undiscovered talents a method of receiving exposure, but now our team needs help getting the word out about the festival.
The festival will start on June 13th, 2016 until June 19th, every night there will be 2 shows taking place in separate locations, where there will be 2 major headliner dropping by to close out each show. The venues include New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Q.E.D in Queen and The Experiment Comedy Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The objective of this festival is very simply, help undiscovered comedic talents receive the exposure they deserve and because laughing is the best medicine why not spread the love throughout New York City.
The festival is not until June 2016 and we are currently trying to get all the people that can possible aid us before June, just to make this ride as smooth as possible. Our last phase is just to get the word out about the event any and all donations will be spent exclusively on promotion and advertising the festival until the festival's start date.
