About the event

Camp Kesem supports the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent’s cancer through a national network of summer camps run by passionate college student leaders.

Camp Kesem provides children through and beyond a parent’s cancer with a peer-support network that recognizes and understands their unique needs. This summer, Camp Kesem will serve over 4,000 children, ages 6-16, with fun and support through free summer camps led by passionate college students. Camp Kesem currently operates over 60 chapters in 29 states and is funded by donations and community support.

Camp Kesem at Columbia University was founded in 2011 and provides a free summer camp for children affected by a parent’s cancer in the NY Tristate area. In order to support over 80 campers this summer, we need to raise $60,000.
