Best of Both Worlds,

Estes Park, Colorado, United States Estes Park, Colorado, United States

  • About the event

The Best of Both Worlds Conference will enable international participants to share current trends, initiatives, and best practices in environmental education and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). We're inviting people who are leaders in environmental education and ESD to join us in Estes Park, CO from September 25 to September 28, 2016. The conference will be capped at 150 attendees and registration is currently available on our website. BoBW was established in 1998 by the University of South Africa and later joined by the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia. They felt that their countries had a shared concern for the environment, as well as social and ecological commonalities. Since then, Brazil and now the US have become involved. BoBW focuses on collaborating across all the “worlds” that make up our global environmental community.

    Conference Goals
    • Establish cross collaboration and networking among participants from different schools and countries
    • Showcase programs that infuse environmental education and ESD into daily school activities and various subject areas
    • Work together to identify local solutions to global problems
    • Assess the progress of environmental education and its impact on sustainability both in the United States and abroad
