About the event

I am creating an art installation, which will also serve as the site of a one night party and live art performance piece. The art installation will be in a similar vain as the installation shown in my photos—barbie dream house meets teenage bedroom meets socialite’s weekend bender. The room where the party is will be filled with bubble furniture and glitter. 

During the event I will be “performing” a “character” similar to the ones that influenced my installation, 90’s popstars, actresses, socialites, barbies, and models, while also remaining myself but an exaggerated version. I will hire a bodyguard and paparazzi to follow me around during the event, while I interact with guests and act as a hostess of my "party." I use the term “party” because I will be inviting guests under the pretense that this is a party-type event, perhaps “my” Sweet Sixteen or a release party, not an art installation.
