6th Annual Bridge the Gap Gala,

San Jose McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California, United States San Jose McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California, United States

  • About the event

We invite you to become a sponsor of the Sixth Annual Bridge the Gap Gala. The revenue from this event
supports the programs of Hunger at Home and Martha’s Kitchen – organizations that are working locally to end
hunger and homelessness in our Valley.
This is no ordinary Gala with a sit down dinner. The event brings together over a dozen renowned chefs to create
an eclectic array of savory and sweet creations that over 1000 guests enjoy at tasting stations throughout the
event. Coupled with notable wine, craft spirits, a silent and live auction, and music designed to get guests dancing,
the event is a fun way to address the very serious issue of hunger and homeless in our community.
What’s more, the event is an excellent way to brand your company and demonstrate support for this important
cause. Our goal this year is to raise $600,000 and we truly appreciate your support at any level described in this
sponsorship packet to help us meet our goal.
With your support, Hunger at Home will continue to connect surplus to those in need, help with job training and
placement, and serve as the hub for nonprofits working to end food insecurity and homelessness in our
Valley. Together, we can create a community where everyone thrives.
We hope you’ll help us bridge the gap!

    Why should you sponsor?

Each day in Silicon Valley, tens of thousands of pounds of excess food and surplus goods are dumped in our landfills and go to waste. In a Valley where one in three people experience food insecurity, Hunger at Home was created to connect food and goods with those in need. Hunger at Home partners with local convention centers, hotels, and sports stadiums to collect excess food and goods to distribute to the homeless and hungry through a robust nonprofit network. To date, Hunger at Home has donated 3 million meals locally and helped distribute much needed goods like towels, blankets, kitchen items, and hygiene kits. Hunger at Home also helps the clients of its nonprofit partners with job training and placement in the very businesses that donate excess food. Our mission Hunger at Home serves as a conduit between business and nonprofit communities to channel excess food and surplus goods to homeless and hungry individuals and families. bridging the gap 3 million meals rescued (1628 tons of food) 300K+ surplus goods collected and distributed 8,377+ tons of carbon emissions reduced 2.6 billion gallons of water saved 1,500 local volunteers engaged Reducing overall costs of nonprofit organizations Helping local businesses give back to those in need and fill hospitality and service jobs
