About the event

This event is a sanctioned Spikeball Tournament that the participants will compete for points towards their national rankings. We at Garrison Retreats will be host/sponsoring the tournamnet in San Antonio to raise awareness for the current suicide rate of our Veterans in the United States which is still averaging a blistering 22 per day.

We are expecting 100 teams of two persons to this event ranging from the beginner to the professional and family members and spectators along with them. The event will be high energy with the games being conducted all day in a bracket setting to place the teams into their tournament sequence. Music, food and drinks will be available all day for eveyone to enjoy and replenish their bodies for competition.

Why should you sponsor?

This is  new active sport sweeping the nation and this is the inaugural event in San Antonio. Sponsors will make this a huge event in its first year here and it can only grow from here. Getting in on the ground floor will provide a great colaboration in growing an event to unforseen hieghts.

Every penny received from the event goes directly to the operations of Garrison Retreats and fighting Veteran suicide rates. We do not use donations for our marketing or administrative purposes, those expenditures are payed for out of the pocket of the board members.

Garrison Retreats is a Texas based 501(c)(3) organization that is solely focused on lowering the Veteran suicide rates in American from the staggering numbers of 22 per day on average. We provide an enviroment for Veterans to attend and receive some counseling through peer support and/or individual support with a licensed therapist. Keeping the Veteran active and introducing them to activities they either forgot they liked or new things that peek their interest. The goal is to get the Veterans out of the dark places that their minds live in and hopefully educate them to return to society with a glimmer of hope.
