About the event

The Joliet Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. (501c3) unites educated men to challenge and motivate communities through civic engagement, all while developing leadership opportunities for youth across Chicagoland to ensure achievement in their personal, social, and academic endeavors.

In the upcoming months The Joliet Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. will be implementing programs to address the rising concerns of a lost generation. In the communities we serve it’s more likely to die or go to jail then to go to college. With so many youth lost, our primary goal is to bridge the gap by providing interventions that expose our communities to alternative lifestyles. We do this through programs such as Fishin’ Buddies, a youth program that introduces youth to ecology and green sustainability through lectures and ecological interaction. Bridging the Gap Inc., a program that introduces technology to low income and disadvantaged youths. As well as Kappa League, a youth development program that focuses on advancing the leadership skills amongst young men in underserved communities. Through the implantation of our programs it is our belief that we will see an increase in the positive decision that are made in the communities we serve.

In order to maintain the programs we are currently sponsoring a fundraising event in the form of a Las Vegas style casino night of entertainment on Saturday, November 21, 2015. In support of our mission, we ask your assistance in partnering with us to ensure the success of our charity event. The Joliet Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. is a nonprofit organization under Federal and State statue and any contributions may be eligible for tax considerations. We ask your support in making this endeavor successful by donating to our cause.
