About the event

The 29th Annual Hispanic International Basketball Tournament will be held in San Antonio, Texas. We have had the privilege of hosting teams from all over Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, Kansas, Phoenix, Oregon, Colorado, and Chicago. This is an established and competitive tournament.

Why should you sponsor?

The Cinco de Mayo Basketball Tournament offers potential sponsors a tremendous opportunity to promote their brand to the Hispanic community. The tournament will feature over 45 teams from San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Edinburgh, Brownsville, Monterrey MX, Cd Juarez MX, Mexico City, New Mexico, Kansas, and Phoenix. Towards the conclusion of the tournament we take the time to acknowledge and present former outstanding Hispanic athletes with an award plaque. The top performers of the tournament will also be recognized for their achievements. 

Friends and family members of the honorees and basketball players will be in attendance throughout the tournament and during the awards presentation. Ads will be available to all sponsors and displayed in our tournament programs. The Ads in the Program will be distributed to the participants and during the games to everyone in attendance. Deadline for ordering an ad is Saturday April 28, 2018

Raul Zuniga

Hello I’m Raul ‘Roy’ Zuniga Jr. My father Raul Zuniga Sr. started the tournament in 1989. I have been involved with the tournament since it’s inception as a player and now I assist my father coordinate the tournament. It is a privilege for us to host the annual event and we hope to continue to run a solid tournament for years to come. Sponsors are essential and the key to the future success. Trust and  confidence is the main reason the tournament continues to run strong. I currently work in a administrative position for my present employer (Director of Player Personnel for Toros de Nuevo Laredo of the Pro Basketball League in Mexico, LNBP.MX). I have held the same position or similar in the LNBP.MX for 15   seasons. I just completed my seventh season with Toros de Nuevo Laredo.
