About the event

All players will be eligible to be selected to the Nationals All-Star teams. At least one player from each participating team is guaranteed a spot on the All-Star roster.

SKILLS COMPETITIONS

Teams get one last chance to show their talents on the diamonds with team skill competitions including 60 Yard Dash, Queen of Swat, Velo Across the Diamond, Coaches Fungo, Catchers Pop Time, and Around the horn.

PLAYER PARTING GIFTS

At the conclusion of the skills competitions, each player and coach will be presented with their parting gifts from their participation in the Nationals.

Itinerary

FRIDAY

4:00PM – 6:00PM : Team Check-In. All teams must check-in between these hours.
6:30PM : Opening Ceremonies, parade of teams
10-15 Minutes immediately following opening ceremonies: Head coach meeting (mandatory).

SATURDAY

9:00AM : Pool play games begin, 1 or 2 games for most teams on Saturday.
Some teams will be scheduled for a day off to spend at Wild Island, Heavenly Mountain Resort or at Lake Tahoe! Other teams will be scheduled just one pool play game so they may spend the other portion of their day at any of these same attractions or at the many other attractions in the Reno / Tahoe area.

SUNDAY

9:00AM : Pool play games begin, 1 or 2 games for most teams on Sunday.
Some teams will be scheduled for a day off to spend at Wild Island, Heavenly Mountain Resort or at Lake Tahoe! Other teams will be scheduled just one pool play game so they may spend the other portion of their day at any of these same attractions or at the many other attractions in the Reno / Tahoe area.

MONDAY

9:00AM : Pool play games begin, 1 or 2 games for most teams on Monday.
Some teams will be scheduled for a day off to spend at Wild Island, Heavenly Mountain Resort or at Lake Tahoe! TUESDAY

WEDNESDAY

10:00AM : Elimination round begins. Play continues through quarter-final games.
8:30PM – 10:30PM : NATIONALS GLOW PARTY!

3:00PM : AWARD CEREMONIES. Nationals All-Star selections announced, One Direction concert contest winner announced, other giveaway winners announced.

6:00PM : SKILLS COMPETITIONS BEGIN FOR ALL TEAMS. Players participate in 9 Hole, Around The Horn, Speed Burner and Home Run Derby, concluding with skills competition awards and player / coach gift package distribution.

9:00PM : ALL-STAR GAMES for each age group – Purple vs Black!

Esperanza Perez

My name is Esperanza Perez. I am Assistant Coach for the Diamond Girls, and my son Julio Perez,16, is another Assistant Coach, My Niece Hope is Head Coach. My nieces play on our Team, so that is what got me intrested. I have no daughters of my own, but these girls are my world and are like my daughters I love and care for them as I would my own children. I want nothing more then to give them my best as I would my four sons. I want to teach values, respect, self disciple, ambition, and most importantly determination. Never give up when the going gets tough and always remember that there is no such thing as quiting! There will always be someone looking for and counting on them to keep pushing harder and to make it to the finish line. I want to give them something that they can hold near and dear, so when they are older they will return to coaching or just being a good role modeling for someone. I hope they have it in them to be someone to be looked at for motivation and strength, but most importantly a Role Model. That is what the world today is lacking in so many ways and that is what I want to show, give, and install in my girls and my sons. 

Be someone they would want to be remembered by and someone that can give others Hope.
