About the event
Youngster’s B-Ball, Inc. (YBBI) is a Brooklyn based Basketball Camp for youngsters that has now expanded its love for children and Basketball to Kigali, Rwanda.
We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of everyone connected with the camp. In March 2017, YBBI had the opportunity to expand its camp with an invitation to go to Kigali, Rwanda, where Youngster’s B-Ball, Inc. came to fruition.
After a sucessful first session (July 2017) YBBI was commissioned by the Rwandan Government to hold (2) Basketball Camps per year for the next 5 years. Our next seesion in Kigali begins on November 15, 2017 and runs thru December 8, 2017.
During these Camps the children will no matter who they were, where they came from, or what economical background they come from, they will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball, to work together as a team, learn valuable life lessons and to build friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
Why should you sponsor?
As you would expect, there are many expenses connected with running the camp and we are relying solely on funding from fundraising events, the support of local businesses and now with us expanding globally; sponsorships.
The expenses for the camp in Rwanda specifically; are travel and lodging for staff, workout equipment, sneakers & socks, uniforms and clearance fees. We were hoping that this might be something you would consider assisting us with.
Sponsoring this session and future YBBI sessions/events will guarantee that your company will be represented not only in the states but globally. Kigali is the largest city in Rwanda with a population of 1745,261 people. Your logo will be featured on our website, on YBBI literature, uniforrms, t-shirts, bags etc. depending on your level of sponsorship. We also wil be doing radio and televsion interviews where we will promote and advertise for your business.

(YBBI) is a Brooklyn based Basketball Camp for children that has now expanded its love for children and Basketball to Kigali, Rwanda.
What started out as a hobby several years ago with some neighborhood kids playing Basketball in Brooklyn NY on the weekends; turned into a weekly workout session for Sean "Groove" Scarborough and Patrick Burke. After working with several young people who really took their training sessions seriously, Sean and Pat decided that they would open a basketball training camp at one of the local schools so that kids would have somewhere to train year-round.
Sean and Pat do this out of the love of children and wanting to make a difference in their community and abroad.
