About the event

Young Dorset is a registered charity that works with young people in the County providing learning and development opportunities to improve their life and employability skills through to qualifications. Part of the work we do is running cookery and nutrition workshops for young people, promoting sustainability, local produce and healthy eating and offering sports training and development within schools.

Last year we held a Food and Sports Festival at Milton Abbey School at the end of August to showcase Dorset’s food producers and products. Many local producers and sellers attended the event, selling an array of amazing food/drink products. On the sports side, we had tennis, climbing, zorbing, archery, slacklining, table tennis and  Exeter Chiefs Rugby & Community who all offered fun activities for the public to take part in.

Due to the success of last years event we are expanding this years exciting event to include crafts!

We will again have many local food producers and retailers, a whole variety of sports and activates to try as well as some fabulous craft stall. There may even be a rugby tournament!
