About the event
Come join us for our 1st annual Monmouth-Independence Family YMCA Halloween Soccer Tournament!
We will have teams from four YMCA s (Monmouth-Independence, Santiam, Silver Falls, and Salem) along with other local soccer leagues from the Dallas and Salem areas. This tournament will be double elimination, ensuring that each team will get to play at least two games.
We at the YMCA believe in giving every child the opportunity the chance to play sports, regardless of any kind of hardships. Our tournament fees are only $15 a team in order to give everyone an opportunity to be involved in a fun experience!
We provide scholarships to any family that is in need of financial assistance in order to play.
The tournament is to be held in Monmouth on Halloween day as a fun and safe way for kids to enjoy some Halloween fun before their trick-or-treating adventures. We will have a check in/bracket booth, and a First-Aid station as well as food and drink vendors. Tournament merchandise will be available to anyone who wishes to pre-order at the time of team registration. Registration deadline is October 20th!
With your help we will be able to provide trophies or medals to the winning teams of each bracket along with helping offset some of the expenses for the tournament. Any profits made from the tournament will go towards scholarships for families that need help financially to allow their children to play sports. The YMCA does not run tryouts, and we do not cut any children from our programs. We help children play organized team sports every season, regardless.
