About the event

Please allow us to introduce ourselves as R-square RiskLab Center of Excellence. We are connecting with you to both inform and invite you to our Annual World Risk Workshop 2015. The subject(s) will be newly emerging issues in Dynamic Sovereign and Counter party risk. It will be held in Luxembourg on Wednesday and Thursday March 18-19, 2015. This conference will include a full agenda of relevant and sensitive topics that will be presented by some of the finest panelist and speakers assembled outside of the World Economic Forum. In this case, participants will hail from The US, Europe, GCC and India. In addition to the initial content, the unique value added element of this conference forum is that it is not just a “one –off” experience. Rather, R-square RiskLab will provide attendees initially with new ideas about risk management plus follow-up support and interaction throughout the year.

We are working on a list of panelist and speakers (which to be confirmed) include some world leaders in finance and risk.

This conference will be a serious, yet entertaining examination of the current issues that pertain to the evolution in evaluation and measurement of systemic, sovereign and counterparty risks. The sessions will cover some of the following topics:

• Risk measure and the financial crisis – “How did we get into this mess?”
• Rogoff “Listen carefully if you really think that this time is different?”
• Delbaen Modeling matters. Probability is risk measure
• It’s a “small world” Why are the risks so large?”
• Don’t trust the poker face - The counter party’s hand might be a little short
• Black swans - myth or reality?


THE GOAL OF THIS EVENT IS TO:

• Our core goal(s) is to stimulate new patterns of thought about evolution of systemic and regulatory risk relative to the European and Global economy.
• Through panelist discussion and interactive forums we aim to identify new growth opportunities amidst increasing uncertainty that is facing regional, national and the global economy.
• Present new ideas and frameworks for intermediate and long term financial and strategic positioning.

This event will be a unique opportunity for all involved. We believe that the thought provoking discussion combined with participant interactions will leave all involved with lasting impressions that will remain useful throughout the rest of the year.
