ITINERARY:
Day 1: DEPART USA
Your fascinating sojourn to Thailand begins as you depart New York today.
Day 2: BANGKOK
Welcome to Thailand, the “Land of Smiles.” Evening arrival in Bangkok, the breathtaking capital. You’ll be met by your Tour Director and escorted to your upscale hotel located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
Bangkok Accommodations: Menam Riverside Hotel
Day 3: BANGKOK
Special “orientation breakfast”, then embark on an included tour introducing you to some of the outstanding Buddhist temples in Bangkok. Visit Wat Trimitr with its invaluable 5-tons solid gold statue of Buddha and Wat Po, featuring the colossal 150 foot long “Reclining Buddha.” See the White Marble Temple representing the finest example of Thai architecture.
This afternoon travel to Thornburi, situated on the right bank of the river. The area’s many canals have given Bangkok the name “Venice of the East.” You’ll board a private motorboat and ride along the canals to get firsthand impression of the scenic life along the city’s waterways. A stop will also be made at the Royal Barge Museum.
This evening enjoy a welcome dinner. (B, D)

Day 4: BANGKOK
Today, journey on a full day excursion to the rural floating market of Damneon Saduak, located south of Bangkok. Spend some time in this exotic, colorful and bustling market where you can observe floating merchants hawk their fruits, corps, baskets and weavings. Proceed to Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in the world.
This evening enjoy a sumptuous Thai and International buffet dinner. Dinner is followed with a stunning world-class Siam Miramit stage show depicting Thailand's historical and spiritual heritage. The $40 million extravagant production boasts over 150 dazzling performers and state-of-the-art special effects and is a captivating journey to the enchanting Kingdom of Siam’s history and culture. This mesmerizing performance is not to be missed! (B, D)

Day 5: BANGKOK, to CHIANG MAI
After breakfast, take a morning guided tour to the Imperial Grand Palace, one of the most beautiful examples of ancient Siamese architecture. Former residence of the Kings, the mile-square palace grounds contain the greatest concentration of Thai arts and architecture in the country including the Temple of the “Emerald Buddha.”
Later today, fly to Chiang Mai, the “Rose of the North.” Your hotel is centrally located within a short walking distance to the renowned night market. Tonight, why not join your fellow travelers in an optional dinner at a famous riverside restaurant ($30). (B)

Day 6: CHIANG MAI
A morning city tour features visits to Chiang Mai’s most interesting temples. The highlight of your tour is a visit to the magnificent Doi Suthep Temple, tucked away in the mountains at 3,500 feet above sea level.
Afternoon at leisure.
This evening you will delight in seeing a breathtaking performance of ancient northern Thai dances followed by performance of songs and dances by local hill tribes. A typical Thai dinner will be served. (B, D)

Day 7: CHIANG MAI
Today visit an elephant camp and see a demonstration of the role of the elephant in Thai agriculture, commerce and culture. Later visit an Orchid Farm. Afternoon at leisure to discover the charm and beauty of this ancient city. Tonight enjoy an included dinner with your group. (B, D)

Day 8: CHIANG MAI, FLIGHT TO PHUKET
Morning at leisure.
Today fly to Phuket where the balance of the day is at leisure. Your hotel is ideally located at Patong Beach, overlooking the ocean. (B)

Day 9: PHUKET
Day at leisure to relax, shop or tour this scenic island.
Your resort has a spectacular three-tiered pool, an ideal spot to cool off after basking under the brilliant sun. Restaurants and bars surround the pool’s cascading waters and you can take in a traditional Thai massage and enjoy time spent in a Jacuzzi or sauna. There is also a comprehensive tour desk with destination specialists on hand to create customized sight-seeing trips. (B)
Phuket Island Accommodations: Phuket Island: Novotel Phuket Resort by the Beach
Day 10: PHUKET
Day long excursion to Phang Nga Bay & James Bond Island. This excursion is a “must see” for any visitor to Phuket. You’ll travel by boat to Phang Nga Bay and the famous “James Bond Island.” Travel by boat through majestic scenery surrounded by dramatic limestone. Upon arrival to Ping Gun Island, known as James Bond Island, enjoy free time for swimming and relaxing. You may also visit a local village. Return to your hotel by boat late this afternoon. National Park fee and lunch are included. (B, L)

Day 11: PHUKET
Day at leisure.
Tonight, join the group for an included farewell dinner in advance of your last day in Thailand tomorrow. (B, D)

Day 12: PHUKET, Depart Tonight
Enjoy Phuket at leisure for your final day, and depart for your flight to the US late tonight. (B)
Day 13: FLIGHT TO US
