About the event

WiCyS is the premier event to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity. WiCyS brings together women in cybersecurity from academia (faculty and students), research, government, and industry - all while creating a community of engagement, encouragement, and support at a technical conference.

What sets the WiCyS 2022 conference apart from others is that approximately 50% of the attendees are students from High School, 2 and 4-year institutions at all levels of education, and 50% of attendees are professionals at various levels of their careers.

The WiCyS 2021 Conference is not only the flagship conference for Women in CyberSecurity, but regardless of gender, is the largest cybersecurity conference with equal representation of professionals and students. For every regular registrant, WiCyS issues a female cybersecurity student scholarship making WiCyS 2022 an excellent opportunity for companies to connect with the new generation of cybersecurity professionals and recruit them into jobs.

WiCyS was established in 2012 by Dr. Ambareen Siraj of Tennessee Tech University through a National Science Foundation grant. In less than ten short years, the organization has grown into a leading alliance between trailblazers from academia, government, and industry.
