About the event

I am Kirsten Jones, the Events Curator for Women Crush Wednesday Pop Up Shop.Women Crush Wednesday Pop Up Shop is a quarterly event promoting local black owned women business owners in the DMV area. The purpose of the event is to create business and networking opportunities for the business owners in the area that do not have a store front or a major clientele list. Our events have been hosted at both lounges, bars and event space to help other local business owners thrive during happy hour on a Wednesday. I saw a need for this event in the area do to seeing a rise in the community for small business start ups, but lack of growth and support outside of their family and friends. 

I am looking to have another POP UP Shop Event highlighting 6 Black Owned Women Businesses in March of 2018. The previous event that I curated, had over 80 guests in attendance, and I want to double the number.

Why should you sponsor?

Black Women are the incubators and innovators for the majority of small business start ups but lack support from their community in the DMV area. Having a sponsor for this event would be rewarding because of the effort that these women have taken to get out there and to network and grow their business. I curated this event to support these women, not asking for any entrance fee for the guest or  a vendor fees. I take pride in helping these women out , and hope a sponsor would too.'
