About the event

Mr. Adewumi was blessed to be surrounded by individuals who encouraged him to hone his musical skills and as a result desired to create an arena where young talented musicians could showcase their talents to a wider audience they may not have access to ordinarily. GT Productions desires to provide this artistic space. The organization was founded on the premise that artists needed an opportunity to showcase that talent and receive assistance in marketing and promoting their sound to the world. GT Productions exhibit talents from all genres and ethnic groups; the organization prides itself in the diversity of acts it has been able to display. In addition to organizing musical events and showcases, the organization also provides DJ services and live band for hire. Ultimately, the goal of GT Productions is to provide a musical experience that will excite the senses of our audience while building the portfolio of our artists. Life presents us each with unique challenges but we do believe that attending a GT Productions event will provide an escape from the complexities of life and the hope to persevere.

This year June (2015) it is the desire of GT Productions and its affiliates to organize the third talent showcase which will be held in either Maryland or Washington DC. We have formally relocated to Maryland and intend to carry on the vision created while we were still based in New York City. The format will be very similar to that of the previous events but this year we intend to market to a much larger audience. Advertising will be done online, as well as in print media, such as the Washington Post, Daily Times, The Frederick News-Post, and local African, Caribbean, and Hispanic newspapers. Billboards will be purchased in various locations throughout the DMV, including but not limited to shopping centers, public attractions and transportation. We intend to hold the program in the Rams Head On Stage located at 33 West Street, Annapolis MD 21401. This year we intend to showcase talents from all artistic mediums, including but not limited to comedy and dance. In addition, we would like to feature a notable artist; some acts we are currently considering but not limited to, include U.S. based R. Kelly, Wale, Lola Monroe, Phil Ade’ and also some Nigeria based artists such as Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, and more.

GT Production needs your assistance to make this year’s event a success. This is an excellent opportunity to let the community know that you value artistic expression and are assisting in providing a venue for artists to be displayed. Although, we are in desperate need of monetary donations, we do acknowledge that you may not be able to do so at this time so please search your heart to see how you can be of assistance in this endeavor. We would like to provide refreshments so donations of food and drink, for example, would be extremely beneficial. Any assistance in disseminating printed materials would also be extremely beneficial.
