About the event

The White Ribbon Foundation is the largest movement of men against violence against women in the world. It has been said that the only way to change attitudes toward violence against women in all its forms; physical, sexual, psychological, is total societal reform.

My name is Jessica and I was sexually assaulted 19th August, 2013 from the hours of 2pm until 6pm. As awful as the experience was for me personally, and despite the time it took to recover, I can not help but feel a sense of accountability for other women. I am so grateful that my own experience did not come with long lasting emotional and/or physical trauma as it does for so, so, so many women. As such, I have decided to try and make a small difference to a large issue and hold an event which is specifically targeted to prevent violence against women. 

The White Ribbon Ball is a black tie event being held in Newcastle, NSW on the 6th August 2016. All funds raised will be donated to The White Ribbon Foundation. 

I have large goals and high hopes for this event, and am looking for sponsorship in any form from local to national to global! I feel so passionately about this cause and greatly appreciate any help given.
