About the event

My name is Forrest O'Brien. I'm The Advertising and Fundraising Chairman for Phi Kappa Psi here at Michigan State University. I'm looking for companies to sponsor Phi Kappa Psi events in late August-Early September. My house is located on 522 Abbott. Right on the unofficial fraternity row. Being a social Fraternity, We'll be having a ton of events right as school kicks off.

What makes our events special is the increase in target audience. My house is a fast growing chapter on campus. With an increase of 183% membership within the last year, we expect to be bringing in a massive freshmen audience. Both my house and your company thrives on freshmen. We both need new costumers to try our products. If you're able to satisfy a customer who happens to be a freshmen, you build loyalty for the next four or five years of his college life.

The timing for our events are perfect for a few reasons. First off, its early in the year. This allows both our companies to build a connection with our customers early on. Leading to future sales faster and with more ease. Also, being on the recruiting committee my previous years of college, I've become aware of freshmen tendencies. Freshmen are most likely to leave their dorms to party on major holidays (Halloween, Saint Pats) and during the first few days of the fall semester. By having our events right around the move in date of freshmen students (Aug 27th) we can tune our audience into maximizing a freshmen body count.

A well known time for freshmen students to venture out into their new college world is Welcome Week. The problem with advertising in the local paper or television channels is the fact that its already overdone. Students hardly pay attention to television ads, let alone be persuaded to buy a product because of it. What we plan to offer is an experience. My fraternity will be hosting social events every single night of welcome week. Hundreds of freshmen will enter our house to have a great night. Once inside they experience college.

My house has invested in one Mackie SRM-1801, and two Mackie TH-15As. Close to two thousand dollars worth of purely audio equipment. Our visuals are all from Chauvet. We own a Hurricane 700, two LX10 LED Moonflower Effect lights, Swarm 5 FX, and a Scorpion 3D RGB Laser with 3D patterns. A listing price above $1300. I want freshmen will walk into their first college party and be overwhelmed by professional quality lights, music, and atmosphere. A great night. Feeling the thump of a sub woofer, and witnessing the flashing of lights in person. A memory that sticks with them. That's something you cant achieve through television. In these great memories, will be the signs and fact that certain companies made the event possible.

My organization will spear point the awareness efforts. We use our extensive Facebook and Twitter cites to get the word out about the event. we also flyer the local dorms, build event cards, and create a large number list of local freshmen students.

Please get back to me as soon as possible. I understand August is still a long ways away, but with events this size, we need to plan everything far ahead on our end.
