Welcome Week Block Party:
We are welcoming the 500+ NEW UNI Students to the Arts and Entertainment District in Cedar Falls. The College Hill District has great food, nightlife, coffee, apparel, and shopping. It is a diverse community with a great place to live, work, shop, eat, and of course learn at the University of Northern Iowa. We have partnered with a group at UNI called UNI Now which provides a wide range of events on and off campus to introduce the University and Cedar Falls to the new incoming students.
This is the second annual Welcome Week event and we are proud to use College Hill (College Street between 22nd and 23rd) as a giant slip and slide. This event shows a fun, interactive, exciting destination that is close to campus that students can come and spend time in. The best part about the College Hill Arts and Entertainment District is it is just steps away from campus and the place to go for this large specific population of Cedar Falls.
In addition to the slip and slide the College Hill Partnership is also bringing in a live dj, other water games, a celebrity dunk tank, and snacks.

Generation Z is an imporant generation to target. These newly adult members of society are keen on social events, the use of social media and adventure. This unique event is a perfect way to introduce or reintroduce your company to these young consumers.
The College Hill Partnership is a non-profit that partners with the University of Northern Iowa, Neighbors, local businesses, and the city of Cedar Falls to improve the general College Hill District as well as promote arts and entertainment in Cedar Falls. Teaming with the College Hill Partnership is a great way to get your brand noticed by this young demographic, as well as having a loyal partner to promote your business.
Kathryn SogardI am the coordinator for the College Hill Partnership. The College Hill Partnership has been around for over 2 decades now and has been a strong advocate for the improvement and betterment of the College Hill Neighborhood. Moving from a Neighborhood Association to Partnership and being awarded grants from our city have greatly expanded our reach in our local community.
The College Hill Partnership has a well esablished presence in the Cedar Valley and is a great non-profit to partner with.
