Walking for the Children of Syria,

Hello,

Please let me begin by introducing myself, my name is Sean and I am 23 years old. I am sending you this email because you seem to be a group of significant stature and could potentially be very helpfull to me and my project. I am currently fundraising for the child refugees of the Syrian conflict after coming into contact with some of them 2 weeks ago in the street in Morocco.
I don´t need to tell you how important it is that this generation receive aid and assistance in their current struggles, so I am going to walk 280km from Slovenia, across neighboring Croatia and into Bosnia in one week, in the hopes of raising money for Doctors without Boarders, who are currently doing fantastic work for not just these children, but many other situations aswell. Through promoting on facebook and asking friends there was $460 raised in the first 36 hours of the donation page being active. I created a facebook group which you can see the link for on this page, the page had been active 2 days and had almost 800 people in it wanting to help and stay informed of the progress. One other avenue I am going down is speaking to the local paper in the town and county I am from, asking them to promote and help spread the word. My town has 50,000 people in it, all of whom read the paper every Friday. I would love to keep this pace going.

I am emailing you today in the hopes of gaining a little bit of assistance in this project, be it whatever you think you can do. Even if you can only tell people in your office about it, or perhaps put up a poster or two, I would be eternally gratefull. Absolutely anything you might be able to help with would be fantastic, and if you wanted me to, I could return the favour by perhaps publicly telling people that you have helped, maybe I could wear your logo while completing the walk.

I realise this is maybe a strange request, but I believe it is important that I try every avenue possible, as to maximise the funding gained.
