Walk for Pudsey,

About the event

We are the Aston RAG (Raise & Give) Walk for Pudsey committee, a group of students from Aston University who are in charge of a 24 hour sponsored walk that has become a yearly occurrence at Aston University. 

Aston RAG Walk for Pudsey is a 24 hour event for BBC Children in Need held at Aston University Lake on 12th-13th June 2016. We are expecting to attract over 1,000 people from all across the world as well as national and regional media coverage.

BBC Children in Need exists to change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. BBC Children in Need aims to give every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. Your donations helped change the lives of 480,000 disadvantaged children and young people, right here in the UK.

£15 means a 12 year old boy with learning difficulties gets to play, learn and grow in confidence at a unique football and literacy project. £20 means a 10 year old girl who normally looks after her sick mum and little sister can take a break at a summer play scheme and have fun with friends. 

As a result of the continuous successes of the Relay for Life events, it has earned its place in the Aston University experience, bringing together people from all over Birmingham; such as university students, families and visitors. The Walk for Pudsey event helps reinvigorate the sense of community within the university, and within the city itself.

This year we aim to raise £20000 for BBC Children in Need, hence any sponsorship or donations for raffle are greatly appreciated as we endeavour to finance our logistics, entertainment and marketing expenditures and other facilities and functionalities imperative to ensuring the success of the event.
