About the event

VKTY Summer Camp is an annual international street dance festival in Vantaa, Finland! 2024 is the 10-year-anniversary of the camp, and the festivities include a vast array of dance workshops by high level dance teachers, open-to-all jam sessions with some of the most prestigious underground deejays in Finland and of course the main event: a street dance battle event where the best dancers in Finland, Scandinavia and other countries face each other in 1-on-1 dance offs. 

We celebrate street dance, hiphop and club culture, root for positive competition and want to create space for all kinds of encounters. No matter the age, gender, religion, ethnicity, or any other personal feature and identity, everyone is welcome! On the dance floor, we are all equal.

Why should you sponsor?

Hiphop and other street dances are powerful forms of self-expression but also a community thing: they bring together a passionate group of music and dance lovers. The camp has been an arena for some of the most high level dance battles in the country, and lately it has also bridged the gap between choreography-based dancers and freestyle-based dancers.

VKTY Summer Camp has been, and still is, the only international street dance festival / camp in Finland. Supporting the event means supporting the whole street and club dance community in Finland. It means giving an opportunity for positive encounters and growth, challenge and learning.

By supporting the event, you are a part of something relevant in this day and age. Street and club dances are bigger than ever and we want Finland to be a part of the wave, as a credible and high-level part of the international dance-community.

Lilli Huttula

I am Lilli Huttula, a passionate dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, event producer and promoter, and a psychologist. I love hiphop, house dance, voguing, and many other street and club dances. These dance forms have given me a greater sense of self, capability, joy, presence, and community.

It has become one of my life-goals to help the Finnish street and club dance community thrive. I have been producing street and club dance -related events since 2011, bringing tens and tens of internationally acclaimed dancers and teachers in to Finland to teach workshops, judge battles, and to share their passion for this amazing culture.

I was one of the founders of VKTY, aka Vantaa street dance association, in 2014. Since then, we have done so much - the camp being just one of many things. I'm also the creator of Tsone Helsinki, another concept dedicated to elevate and educate street and aclub dances in Finland. I received the cultural influencer of the year in Saiffa Gala 2023 as a tribute to all the work I've done for the local scene throughout the years.
