About: VIVELO LATIN & BALLROOM CHAMPIONSHIPS is a 3-day event featuring new dancing experiences, competitions, master workshops, classes, shows and parties.Vivelo will bring internationally acclaimed Ballroom and Latin judges with high exposure and large number of competitors nationwide.
The Mission: Our goal is to produce an entertainment brand that will engage, educate, surprise and showcase the diverse spirit of professional dance and its culture. Dance is an integral part of human experience and we bring that to a Baltimore audience, preserving the authenticity of original Latin dance and the craft of Ballroom for future generations.
The Market Overview: Dance studios offering Latin-inspired, fitness, fusion and ballroom dance classes have particularly benefited from growing consumer demand which has increased revenue at an annualized rate of 3.5% to $3.6 billion during the period, including growth of 2.8% in 2018 alone. According USA Dance Inc., the beginning of this century marked a 30.0% spike in the number of individuals taking ballroom lessons and attending ballroom events. The industry also benefited from an expanding US economy, as well worldwide.
Vivelo moves to capitalize on this up-swing by providing a tangible option to local audiences with similar interest and a regional appeal and investment attachment.
Organization: Vivelo Latin and Ballroom Championship was birthed by Kaya Barraza, CEO of KayaDance Company, Founder of ProInspira Organization., Founder of the Baltimore Salsa Congress. Barraza will act as Director; galvanizing a team of professionals to establish an exciting brand that will take over the world of dance.
Reach: There are 300 instructional training & dance studios in Maryland, with over 13,000 in the US full stop. There are 5 (five) major higher learning institutions with degree -seeking dance departments in Maryland, and an estimates of 450 throughout the country. Vivelo’s targeted patrons are adults between the age of 18-49 (72% of whom are female) with most are the primary financial decision-maker in a household with one or more children (age 5 to 18 years) who has an interest in the dance industry and residing in hotspots of New York, the District of Columbia, Virginia, The Carolinas, Pennsylvania, California, Texas and Florida, along with our own state of Maryland. Hispanics are the second fastest growing minority group in the United States. More than 56 million people of Hispanic or Latino ethnicity live in the United States. On average, the median age of those identifying as Hispanic is 28.7 years. In Baltimore City there are 32.5k Hispanic or Latino residents. Exposure Vivelo will leverage a four tier marketing and promotion strategy; utilizing targeted partnerships with local municipal/ state agencies, key businesses, cultural and economic organizations… along with the hope of aligning with a local broadcast company to televise and online stream the event to expand the visibility of the Vivelo brand, as well as, our partnering sponsors.
Distribution/ Marketing: Vivelo Latin & Ballroom Championship, intends to exploit its possibility via various channels including; broadcast TV, VOD distribution, online streaming, and social media platforms. We are building our television brand with strategies that will maximize the company’s bargaining power and increase the potential profit, by leveraging our broadcast right, marketing efforts.
