Greetings from Vihaan.
It is with immense pleasure I would like to inform you about the 2nd edition of Vihaan International Festival of Arts (VIFA) to be scheduled at Bhopal from December 29, 2016 to January 9, 2017. It will be an 11-day Festival of multiple arts with a theme 'Climate Change and Traveling'.
VIFA is an annual event of Vihaan aimed to have a focus celebrating arts internationally. 1stedition of VIFA was held at Bhopal in December 2015 from 15-18 which was in collaboration with ArtCop21 (the official United Nations Climate Conference, Paris 2015). Please see the link for our presence:

We believe in having a cross-cultural artistic community which is very much alive in sharing, networking and organizing the events to celebrate arts. VIFA is our platform and a space where we imagine arts, people, performers or connoisseurs to assemble freely and thus emerges an atmosphere of celebrating arts. Vision
To be the biggest cross-cultural, multi-art festival of central India of international repute that give
arts, artists, connoisseurs and others an experience to practice and pursue artistic spirits.
Mission
• To make it a festival where exchange of various cultures, vision and festivity in art should be
seen

What is VIFA ?
VIFA stands for Vihaan International Festival of Arts. The idea of having an international festival
lies in the ‘festivity’ and ‘celebrating arts’ that infuses atmosphere of arts among artists, nonartists,
youth and connoisseurs. The aim of VIFA is to promote arts among the people with
positivity and belief of looking at life with smiles. The multi-art agenda of VIFA creates the
surrounding of festivity and energy. That ‘Art can change the lives of humans’ is the strongest
belief of VIFA. With every single performance, we want to feel the power of creation and make it
feel to everyone. Thus, VIFA is not only to celebrate arts but also to celebrate life.
Why VIFA ?
Our motto behind the festival is to explore arts internationally. This means to celebrate the spirit of
arts across the world, along with the world. Our intention is to host and hop around ‘festivity’ of
arts & culture combining various fine and performing art forms.
We believe in exchange and collaboration of arts, artists, ideologies, activities, initiations which
evoke sincerity in arts practice. Thus, to promote and support, we are very much up to collaborate
in qualitative arts program.
What will it have?
The festival will have programs related to every branch of arts. Theater performances, musical
performances, talks, theater workshops, film screenings and discussions, literary activities, poetry
recitations, book releases, literature discussions and interviews, art galleries and demos, painting,
sculpture demos, heritage and art walks, seminars and workshops related to arts.
When will it take place?
We have planned to make it happen in the month of January every year. January is the start of
the year. We want to add ‘optimist’ and ‘happening’ tags to the festival that gives a joyful
beginning to the spectators. The month is also suitable from weather point of view. The festival
should not only look good but it should also be felt good!
Where will it take place?
Obviously in Bhopal ! This is Vihaan’s one of the visions, to place Bhopal on world map of arts.
But unlike other events, it will take place at different venues. So that more number and different
number of people will join us. The program of the festival will be designed in such a way that it
should have theatre, film, literature, dance on different places and time alternatively. -
