Vet Fest,

Par, England, United Kingdom Par, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

Vets Fest was born of an idea from the Par Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast club; held on the first Saturday of every month at the Grill at Snowlands. We want to build on that success, and show the community what ‘veterans’ can achieve. Great food, music, dancing, and fun for all the family: all overlooking the beautiful South Cornish coast.

15 Local Cornish bands will be playing the event supported by stalls run by veteran-owned and local Cornish businesses.

To remind us of our past military lives, we will be holding our own fun Olympics, and look forward to competing against each other, and the British Public: the banter may be loud and proud, but it’s all good ‘squaddie’ humour.

Gates open on July 5th at midday with music starting at 15:00 going on until 23:00 and starting again at 13:00 on Saturday right through to 23:00 Saturday night. Camp on site, or just stay late on a day ticket. Day Tickets start at £10.00 with Family (2 adults 2 children) Tickets for the whole weekend at £75.00.

Tickets are available from the Grill Snowlands, the Regimental Museum, Bodmin; and through this website. Be there at the start of something big, and celebrate with veterans young and old.

Join us on Facebook to keep up to date and be in with a chance to win tickets and surprise prizes: we haven’t bought them yet, so they will be a surprise to us as well.

    Why should you sponsor?

This is year one of the event- we need a bit of help, we have raised over half of the money needed but just need an extra leg up to deliver.

we havent gone mad with items we have made sure that we have everything for people to have a good time - no gimmicks nothing that is not needed

Ex WRAC and Royal Signals (this will be the reason that the venue was chosen for it’s excellent communication capabilities).

What do you see when you hear the word “Veteran”? Its not me is it a Lady in her early – ok mid forties, with a good job, a happy homelife, a veteran husband and two cats. I am the crazy lady who woke up one Sunday morning and thought “Glastonbury who???. We have a good Armed forces and Veterans Breakfast club that meets once a month with many strong friendships formed, so how do we celebrate the fist anniversary? Cake – NOPE (although there will be cake) – Banners NOPE (there will be a few) I know we will have a festival, have the most amount of fun and raise awareness that most veterans are like me – we are not all Broken, however we can raise awareness and a bit of funding along the way for those that need the help of the 2300 forces charities out there.
