UTT Arena 2015,

About the event

This year, the 14th edition of the UTT Arena (UA) will take place during the 4th, 5th and 6th december in the Exhibition Center of Troyes (« Parc des Exposition de Troyes »). Unlike previous years, our event will be part of a bigger event : the very first edition of the Gaming Festival of Troyes (« Festival des jeux de Troyes »). Many activities related with our LAN will be proposed within this festival, like Chess, multiple consoles, a cosplay team, card games, etc ...  

The UA is a semi-professional LAN gathering this year 300 players around recent, old and even retro video games. The LAN is divided between two types of tournaments, ones called « Spotlight » and the others considered « free ».

• The « Spotlights » are regulated tournaments, with brackets and rewards for the top positions. They are partially streamed and commented on stage. This year, we decided to highlight League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and Ultra Street Fighter IV. Those games have a very active community and allow us to launch tournaments with at least 32 players on every tournament. This year, the highlighted games are League Of Legends, HearthStone : Heroes Of Warcraft, Counter-Strike : Global Offensive, and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

• All the other games could take part in « free » tournaments. Those tournaments are, amongst others, made for people who don’t want to be part of a Spotlight, and prefer an open gaming area where everyone can choose what they are playing, with who, and whenever they want. Thus, this small part of the event can welcome a more varied groups of gamers.  Everyone can create a free tournament or join an existing one.
