Kansas City Urban Fashion Festival provide a platform for up & coming, as well as established fashion industry professionals to showcase their work and expand their audience.

Urban Fashion Festival Kansas City, has been supporting Kansas City charities that are devoted to economic support in the community. We need your help this year to support The Dress for Success KC  who offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty by providing recipients with professional attire, and counseling to secure employment.

On August 28, 2016 UFFKC will be hosting the 5th annual marquee fashion show: Man and the Machine. The runway show is recognized as one of the strongest platforms for up and coming fashion professionals to learn the basics of participating in a fashion show, in Kansas City. We offer designers hands on experience with understanding what is needed to submit a portfolio and application shows, posture, general etiquette and walking lessons etc for models, as well as make up prep for artist, and stylists. After raising funds for a local greenhouse and mentoring program Males To Men, with over 250 guest in attendance at last year’s event, we are expecting over 400 of Kansas City’s fashion enthusiast and  influential all-stars to be in attendance.

We have built a solid platform that raises money for charity while simultaneously promoting local businesses. How do you fit in? 

Profits from our event go to charity; our generous donors have been instrumental in our success by lowering our event costs and thereby increasing proceeds. We rely on donations and sponsorships to support our marque runway show, and festival of events(vendor expo, designer showcase, the hair & make-up spotlight, etc). The Urban Fashion Festival Kansas City offers an unique opportunity to create a win-win situation between charitable organizations and Kansas City’s local businesses. Creating a marketing platform and tax write off for both up-and-coming and established business while in turn raising money for a great cause.

• to promote local talented designers, models, and artists
• to promote the economic development of the region by focusing on growing the creative class, especially those involved in fashion and beauty oriented businesses as well as in the arts
• to partner with regional charities to create awareness and encourage community involvement.
