About the event

Urban expressions recognizes that the future of out community ultimately depends on the health, safety, and education of our young adults. We are proud of our youth in our community and the part we play in this music education. We firmly believe our young adults, when equipped with the experiences that our group makes available to them, become successful leaders in our community, have success in school and and make a real difference in the development of their intelligence. We are excited to offer you an opportunity to link your business with one of the most successful programs in Utah.

Urban expressions will be representing Utah when we travel out- of- state for competitions. We have brought honor by not only placing 1st in Utah for the past 14 years before a crowd of thousands, in 2006 we also received the gold medal in California at the university of California-Irvine in front of an even larger venue, and in 2010 we were in the finals at world championships placing 13th in the world. Even with this past success, our expectations are still higher. This year, in addition to the Utah competitions, we will be returning to California and Nevada for two Regional Championships and the world championships in Dayton, Ohio. Our goal is bring the recognition back to Utah while molding the character of our young adults by raising their awareness of community issues and be pro-active.

As you can imagine, it takes a large amount of money to run a program and Urban Expressions is no exception. Each member is now looking to raise at least $1500 by the end of January and every tax-deductible donation helps. I would be enormously grateful if you could spare anything to help this fund this worthwhile cause. Should you be able to offer any kind of sponsorship, I would be happy to feature any corporate logo on all material, our website, and in the video we produce. We will also provide a wall piece for you to hang in you public business area that will also help enhance the image of your company as a good corporate citizen of the community.
