Statement from Chairs Welcome week holds a very special place in the heart of every single McMaster Student. It is a time of immense change in one’s life and a time when students are able to grow and develop. Greensuits are here to smooth that transition and make DeGroote home for so many business students every year. We achieve this by hosting academic and social events, show first years the in’s and out’s of student life and easing the worries that come with the transition from high school to post secondary. Greensuits are the first point of contact that any DeGroote student will have to McMaster and the greater Hamilton community. We welcome these students and help them to feel comfortable in their new environment, fully immersing our first years into what it means to be a DeGroote student. Our Sponsors are to play a key role in ensuring we can make an impact on every single first year student. Your generosity and commitment to the welcome week experience will allow Welcome Week, Greensuits, First Years and all of the stakeholders to our organization to bring awareness and appreciation for your brand to our 800+ new DeGroote students. What is Greensuits? Greensuits welcome new DeGroote and McMaster students to their new home. We smooth the transition from high school to university and we help to bring new students into our Family that we call DeGroote. As Greensuits we organize events and facilitate situations where students can make new friends, learn how to succeed at university and meet enthusiastic upper year students who can answer all of their questions during this new and scary time. We cannot wait until September to welcome all of our first years. DEGROOTE IS HOME!!
